Medical Assistance Program

Provides a limited amount of medical, dental or vision assistance to income eligible households. Vision Assistance covers the routine eye exam, frames and lenses. Participant is responsible for all costs not covered by Human Services, Inc. and must pay the balance in full at the time of purchase.

We are able to assist with medication purchases under $50 as funding allows. We do encourage individuals to contact their township trustee FIRST before checking with us.

We do have limited availability for mental health services. Every other week at Double Down Outreach, we have a therapist on site. We also make direct referrals to those with HIP and may have some other options regarding peer counseling, recovery coaching, and coping skills available.

The Salvation Army Service Extension of Jackson County

Non-Narcotic Medication Assistance

As funding is available, The Salvation Army can assist with a portion of non-narcotic prescription cost (amount is based on available funding). Participant must pay the difference (if the total cost exceeds the amount of assistance that can be given) before assistance can be given in order to guarantee purchase.
